How to Elevate Your Managerial Productivity and Time Management

Updated: May 9

Lean six sigma business newsletter for managers

Dear ,

If you had vacation in August, then welcome back!

I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you. After receiving numerous requests from my community of clients and students, I've made the decision to enter the world of podcasting.

Choosing just one podcast format that would cover the diverse expectations of all my clients wasn’t easy. Therefore, I've decided to launch not one but three podcast series, each tailored to address the unique needs of our different client segments. Here's a brief overview:

business, health and sustainability podcast

One of the podcasts is titled First Waves for Employees and it’s dedicated to employees who aspire to experience career development and contribute even more value to the organization. Listeners can learn about new tools to increase their productivity, improve communication and presentation skills, receive tips on identifying and implementing quick wins, and much more. This podcast aims to raise potential leaders of tomorrow.

The second podcast is called Business Excellence for Managers and it is tailored to suit your role as a leader, providing content specifically designed to enhance your leadership skills and knowledge.

Here are the episodes for managers published so far:

lean six sigma tips and tricks

Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, served from 1953 to1961 and faced challenging decisions regarding task prioritization. It was during this time that he developed the famous Eisenhower principle. This principle has since become a global standard, helping us sort tasks based on their urgency and importance.

As a manager, I too have found great value in using this matrix frequently to make informed decisions and optimize productivity.

The Eisenhower Matrix helps you prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. It categorizes your tasks into four quadrants:

eisenhower decision matrix

1.Urgent and Important: Tasks that require immediate attention and are crucial. They should be your top priority and addressed promptly.

2. Important but Not Urgent: Tasks that are significant but don't require immediate action. These should be scheduled for later.

3. Urgent but Not Important: Tasks that demand immediate action but have lower long-term significance. Try to delegate or minimize these.

4. Neither Urgent nor Important: Tasks that are neither pressing nor valuable.Consider eliminating or postponing these to free up time.

By using this matrix, you can effectively allocate your time and focus on tasks that align with your goals and responsibilities, ultimately improving productivity and time management.
